About the Role

The essential functions of this position are detailed below, and they may change as the needs of the company demand.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies for IGSS and its companies, focusing on ingredients, packaging materials and equipment.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard overseas suppliers (Europe, Asia, etc.), negotiating contracts to secure competitive pricing, MOQs, and payment terms.
• Maintain supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and resolve issues (e.g., delays, quality disputes).
• Mitigate supply chain risks (e.g., currency fluctuations) by diversifying sources.
• Process POs based on production forecasts and warehouse stock levels.
• Collaborate with Kitchen and Warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries and accurate stock records.
• Monitor lead times and adjust orders to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Analyze spending trends and identify cost-saving opportunities (bulk discounts, alternative suppliers).
• Prepare monthly procurement reports for the Executive Director, including spend analysis and savings achieved.
• Manage budgets for all companies, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
• Ensure all imported goods meet food safety regulations and company specifications.
• Verify certifications for specialty ingredients.
• Document supplier audits and coordinate with QA teams for product testing.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers to clear international shipments efficiently.
• Resolve shipping delays, customs holds, or documentation errors.
• Optimize shipping methods (air vs. sea) to balance cost and urgency.
• Work with Executive Chefs/Asst. Warehouse Manager to align procurement with production needs.
• Support new product development by sourcing innovative ingredients.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting or projects as needed.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is or has;


Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Science, or any related field.


Experience & Skills:

·       CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent preferred.

·       Minimum of 6 years in F&B procurement, with expertise in international sourcing.

·       Proven track record in cost negotiation and supply chain risk management.

·       Familiarity with food import regulations and logistics.

·       Excellent command of English and Chinese (both spoken and written).

·       Knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
