Senior Accountant

About the Role

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting functions for IGSS and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in the F&B or FMCG industries and experience in setting up new companies, ensuring compliance, and implementing efficient financial processes, including developing SOPs for the accounting team.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all business units.
• Oversee the accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Manage credit control processes to ensure timely collections and minimize bad debts.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for accounting functions to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Manage budgets, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and prepare necessary tax documentation.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, company secretaries, and tax consultants to facilitate financial operations and ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
• Implement and monitor financial controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide assistance in data analysis.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is or has;


Education:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.


Experience & Skills:

·       Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, specifically within the F&B or FMCG industries.

·       Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

·       Experience in developing and implementing SOPs for accounting processes.

·       Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Xero and Cin7 is an advantage.

·       Excellent command of both English and Chinese (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.

·       High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

·       Immediate availability is high preferred.
